Lake Street Nursery needs a treasurer. Can you help?

We are looking for a financial whizz to join the friendly team of volunteers who keep Lake Street Nursery running.
Lake Street is an outstanding pre-school for young children in South Oxford. It has been running for nearly 50 years, thanks to the dedication of its staff, and volunteers from the local community.
The Treasurer is a really important member of the management committee, Its responsibilities range from providing floats at fundraising events and supporting the Administrator with finance queries, to overseeing bank records, budgeting and financial reporting.
The person who is currently in the role is stepping down, and we’re urgently looking for someone to take it on.
We are looking one with financial experience – particularly of financial reporting and budgeting, and an understanding of accounting software.
You would need to be able to attend Committee meetings, held one evening per month, term time only, and work on additional reporting and financial tasks in between meetings. It’s likely to take a few hours each term.
The Treasurer is a trustee of the charity, and will need to undertake a DBS check.
Whether you are not currently working, or working full or part time, we can make it work around you.
If you think you have what it takes, and would like to make a real difference to your local community, please get in touch with Committee Chair Dan Selinger as soon as possible on for an informal chat.
